Austrian Gerold Gesslbauer always wanted a ride in the World Endurance Championship. Now at the famous 12h race in Estoril it could become reality. Before that, however, he has to prevail against two opponents.
Gerold Gesslbauer racing career startet late. At first, his focus was on labour and his professional education. His first entry was just in 2016 in the national Austrian Motorcycle Championship at the age of 27. His choice was the Superstock 600 even though he was tall as a tree! But in only his third race, the tall Austrian enjoyd the taste of champagne as runner-up on the podium. At the end of his rookie season, he was only beaten by Jochen Rotter and Philipp Steinmayr.
